Canton Trade Days Hit by Micro Burst

Thursday evening June 30th a rare westerly moving thunderstorm struck the first Monday Trade Days in Canton, Texas. Thursday is the first day of the 4 day July 2011 event. The damage appears to have been caused by a Micro burst, one of at least three in East Texas storms this evening as reported by KLTV channel 7 (KLTV.com).

However rest assured the Canton Trade Days will be open for business Friday Saturday and Sunday as usual. Since 1850 the World Famous Canton Trade Days has never missed a month for any reason.
